I see the shadows and know what you mean, but what I really love is the texture and colours of the rusty ships hull. It's like those arty studies of tree bark or old painted surfaces or rotting planking that were always a feature of photography competitions or art shows, (I expect they still are), I could never quite say why I liked them but they were always the ones that caught my eye and I wanted to emulate. But I never quite got anything that lived up to my aspirations. Shame about this site and scaling, I think bigger would be better.
